Check it out yourself and be on the watch for the use of material from this website in your children's classrooms. Our 3rd grade grandson brought this worksheet home a few weeks ago. My daughter was outraged. It generated a good family discussion with all of the kids which boiled down to: "A lot of people believe this, We don't and Here's why".

"Timeforkids" provides "free" classroom material and It seems like teachers in our district are allowed ot use them. I asked a school board member about the approval process for such sources and could not get a straight answer. I'm going to keep on trying to find out just what the process is, my gut feeling now is that there just isn't any.

Elementary School Students Reportedly Taught Songs Praising President Obama

A video posted on YouTube appears to show a New Jersey elementary school class being taught to sing praises of the "great accomplishments" of President Obama.

The video shows nearly 20 young children taught a song overflowing with campaign slogans and praise for "Barack Hussein Obama," repeatedly chanting the president’s name and celebrating his accomplishments, including his "great plans" to "make this country’s economy No. 1 again.

The video identifies the kids as students at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, N.J., with taping taking place last June.

The song quotes directly from the spiritual "Jesus Loves the Little Children," though Jesus’ name is replaced with Obama’s: "He said red, yellow, black or white/All are equal in his sight. Barack Hussein Obama."

Among other lyrics, touting a fair-pay bill Obama signed in January: "He said we must be clear today/Equal work means equal pay."

The author of the full lyrics is unknown, but a woman — possibly a teacher — can be heard in the beginning of the video correcting and helping a student who has forgotten the words…

Maybe this is one of those ACORN partnership schools.

If it isn’t, it might as well be.

By the way, Fox News seems to be the only media outlet covering this story so far.

The state “should not stifle incentive, opportunity, responsibility”, wrote Sir William Beveridge in the 1942 report that inspired the post-war welfare state. “In establishing a national minimum it should leave room and encouragement for voluntary action by each individual to provide more than that minimum for himself and his family.”

Those cautionary words haunt us now as we discover that 5m adults have not worked since Labour came to power 12 years ago. Even excluding those who are in education or have only recently completed it, and discounting those who have left the labour market through age or ill health, 2.5m have been jobless since 1997 at least. There are now 3.3m households — one in six — with no one over the age of 16 in employment and 1.9m children living in families without a parent in work.

While the recession is increasing the numbers, it clearly did not cause the problem.

Say "NO" to Indoctrination of our kids in school!!!

President Barack Obama continues his massive expansion of statism by charging his comrade Arnie Duncan at the Department of Education with implementing a plan to indoctrinate our children into the Obama ranks via a nationwide address and set of lesson plans targeted at kids pre-K through 12. (h/t Talk Radio and Soda Head)

I urge everyone with school age children to contact the supervisor of your district and your child’s school principal to determine if your child’s school is participating in this plan that would be rightfully decried had it been attempted by any republican.

If your child’s school is participating in this deceitful political ploy you should send a message to your school by keeping your children at home on Tuesday (consider it a 4 day vacation!) Make it very clear that you will not allow them to indoctrinate your kids into the Obama army.

The U.S. Department of Education, apparently with the expanded role of overtly propagandizing America’s youngsters, has thoughtfully prepared “learning materials” for teachers to use in preparation for this historic and truly unprecedented event. They have been very thorough, preparing “Classroom Materials” in two separate packages, one directed at children “preK-6, the other of students in grades 7-12. Note: “preK-6″ implies that the Dear Beloved Leader anticipates his message being broadcast to pre-kindergarten children.

A simple look at the Pre-K package contains the following questions that teachers should ask of children in preparation for the nationally beamed in speech (repeat questions are not mistakes on my part, they are in the package):

Parental Rights Under Attack...

THE PARENTAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT

SECTION 1
The liberty of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children is a fundamental right.

SECTION 2
Neither the United States nor any State shall infringe upon this right without demonstrating that its governmental interest as applied to the person is of the highest order and not otherwise served.

SECTION 3
No treaty may be adopted nor shall any source of international law be employed to supersede, modify, interpret, or apply to the rights guaranteed by this article.

Would a Treaty Overrule the Parental Rights Amendment?

If a treaty will override even our Constitution, what is the point in passing an amendment?

The Parental Rights Amendment will override a treaty both in American courts (domestic law) and in international courts (international law).

All Constitutional provisions override treaties in American courts. This is not a change. The Parental Rights Amendment follows this consistent principle established both by the language of Article VI of our Constitution and by Supreme Court decision (Reid v. Covert, 354 US 1 (1957)).

But, under international law, treaties override all forms of a nation’s law, including its constitution, unless the constitutional provision concerns the ability to make treaties.  Because of our language in Section Three prohibiting treaties from being made on the subject of parental rights, this provision of our Constitution should prevail even in international courts.
